On October 1, the Perry Center welcomed a delegation of 55 students from Brazil’s Naval War College Course on Maritime Policy and Strategies (C-PEM), led by Vice Admiral Garriga and Rear Admiral Reis. Perry Center Director Paul J. Angelo, PhD, Deputy Director Ruben Lopez, Dean of Special Projects Scott D. Tollefson, Associate Director of Outreach and Communications Holly Peirce, Professors Luis Bitencourt, and Jeffrey E. Zinsmeister received the delegation. During the visit, Dr. Angelo delivered the opening remarks, followed by an organizational briefing from Dr. Tollefson. Professor Luis Bitencourt concluded with a presentation on global and regional challenges for security and defense.
