From May 5-16, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies convened 105 participants from 25 countries for the resident phase of two concurrent courses: Caribbean Security & Defense (CSD) and Governance and Strategy for Security & Defense (GSSD).

On May 5, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies launched the resident phase of its Caribbean Security and Defense (CSD) and Governance and Strategy for Security and Defense (GSSD) courses, welcoming 105 participants from 25 countries to Washington, DC.

On April 10, 2025, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo participated virtually in the "Crisis of Governance in Security and Development" forum, hosted by Simón Bolívar University (Unisimón) in Cúcuta, Colombia. The event, part of Unisimón's Expert Lecture Series, was organized by the university's Department of Outreach and External Services and brought together approximately 150 participants from across Colombia.

From April 7 to 11, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies participated in this year’s Central American Security Conference (CENTSEC) in Panama City, Panama. Co-hosted by Commander of US Southern Command Admiral Alvin Holsey and Minister of Public Security of Panama Frank Alexis Ábrego (a Perry Center alum), this year’s conference centered on “Defending the Hemisphere Through Combined Operations and Cybersecurity.”

On April 3, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies participated in the 7th Annual Security Challenges in Latin America Forum, Securing the Next Quarter Century: 25 Years of Transformation in Latin America's Security and Defense, held at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC.

On April 1, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies welcomed a group of eight security cooperation and bilateral affairs officers assigned to US embassies across the Western Hemisphere.

On March 31, 2025, 47 students and faculty members from the master's program in National Strategic Planning and Conduct (PMPCEN, known for its acronym in Spanish) at Paraguay's Instituto de Altos Estudios Estratégicos (Institute for Advanced Strategic Studies – IAEE) visited the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies.
