On November 20, we had the honor of hosting Argentina’s Secretary for the Fight against Drug Trafficking and Complex Crimes, Martin Verrier, for this first visit to the Center.

In 2024, we conducted a new Defense Education Pedagogy (DEP) course to examine how defense educational institutions design and deliver their programs. For nine weeks, 80 practitioners from 15 Latin American countries met virtually to compare and discuss their respective approaches to defense education.

On November 26, we welcomed a delegation of 85 graduating cadets from Argentina's Air Force Academy, led by Director of the Air Force Academy Major General Marcelo Abel Ramadori and Defense and Air Attaché in Washington, DC, Brigadier General Carlos Gabriel Cendon.

On November 12, we hosted a visit by Peru's Center for Advanced National Studies (CAEN-EPG). Colonel Felipe Santa Cruz led the group of 32 participants, who were welcomed by Dean of Academic Affairs William Godnick, Associate Dean for Research and Publications Patrick Paterson, and Professor David Spencer.

From November 4 to 8, the Perry Center Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) team of Dr. Holly Peirce, Dr. Arturo Sotomayor, and Ms. Sydney Knapp, proudly supported the Western Hemisphere Women, Peace, and Security Regional Event alongside USNORTHCOM, USSOUTHCOM, and partner nations in Mexico at CESNAV/SEMAR.

On November 5, we had the honor of hosting Ecuador's Minister of Defense, Gian Carlo Loffredo, along with a delegation that included Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Jaime Vela Erazo and Under Secretary of Defense Brigadier General Frank Landazuri.

On November 6, a delegation of 110 students, faculty, staff, and leadership from Brazil's Superior School of Defense (ESD), led by Lieutenant General Carla Lyrio Martins, visited the Perry Center and National Defense University.

On November 7, we welcomed a delegation of 36 participants from the Argentine-American Dialogue, led by Mr. Luis Ruvira.

On October 29, 2024, Dr. William Godnick, WJPC Dean of Academics, presented his paper on "The Militarization of Public Security in Latin America: Challenges and Obstacles to US Security Cooperation."
