From May 12 to 14, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies conducted the Countering Hybrid Threats in the Americas mobile course at the Panama Canal Authority headquarters in Panama City, bringing together 60 participants from Panama’s interagency security and defense institutions.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies engaged with 16 Mexican officers from the Center for Higher Naval Studies (CESNAV) of Mexico at the facilities of the Inter-American Defense College.

On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies hosted a combined visit from Guatemala's Armed Forces Higher Education Command (COSEDE) and the Superior Colombian War College (ESDEGUE). The visit included 42 students from COSEDE and 34 majors from ESDEGUE, fostering a robust exchange on regional security and strategic perspectives.

On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies hosted a delegation of 16 fellows pursuing their master’s degrees at the US Army War College, including three international students from Brazil, Greece, and Japan.

From April 20 to May 1, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies hosted 106 participants from 14 countries for two concurrent in-residence courses: Cyber Policy Development and Artificial Intelligence Applications for Defense (CYBER-AI) and Governance and Strategy for Security and Defense (GSSD).

From April 13 to 15, 2026, William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies Professor of Practice Celina Realuyo conducted a series of high-level engagements in Chile to promote dialogue on regional security priorities and strengthen institutional partnerships.

From March 26–27, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies participated in the 4th Hemispheric Security and Defense Congress in Buenos Aires, organized and led by the Argentina alumni chapter.

From March 25 to 26, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies partnered with the Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF-S) to deliver a professional development seminar for Foreign Liaison Officers (FLOs) and US Government personnel.
