Suggs and Associate Director of Security Cooperation Patrick Mathes represented the Perry Center as official observers at the 17th Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (CDMA) in Cusco, Peru.
From June 15 to 26, 2026, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies partnered with Brazil's National War College (Escola Superior de Guerra - ESG) to deliver the sixth edition of the Policies and Strategies in Response to Complex Threats course, a signature defense education initiative developed with ESG.
