On April 4, the Alumni Academic Committee of the Peru Chapter paid a protocol visit to Mr. Walter Astudillo Chávez, Minister of State of the Office of Defense of the Republic of Peru.

The Committee presented the work being developed to strengthen the alumni community and the plan of activities being executed this year in coordination with the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (WJPC) of Washington DC, USA, especially in relation to training and organization of conferences, as well as encouraging the participation of the different armed institutes in the training courses offered by the center.

The proposal was very well received by the Minister, who, as a graduate of said center of studies, expressed his support and permanent coordination in activities involving the participation of the defense sector.
