The 2024 Webinar Series kicked off on January 16 with a special event focused on Guyana’s defense priorities, featuring guest speaker Brigadier Omar Khan, Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force.  Moderated by WJPC Director, Dr. Paul Angelo, the conversation addressed several topics including Guyana’s position on the Essequibo region and Guyana’s immediate priorities regarding Guyana’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the protection of its citizens. This non-recorded event was attended by 419 participants (255 WJPC alumni) from 32 countries. The webinar was followed by a post-event discussion which allowed for a dynamic and diverse exchange among more than 60 English and Spanish-speaking participants from across Latin America and the Caribbean.
