On October 27, the Perry Center hosted a visit by Ecuador’s Joint Military Defense Academy (ADEMIC). The Ecuadorian delegation of nearly 60 naval captains and colonels from three services was led by Rear Admiral Luis Piedra, Director of Education of the Armed Forces, and Colonel Roberto Jimenez, ADEMIC’s Director. Perry Center Deputy Director Ruben Lopez and Professor Boris Saavedra welcomed the group, provided an organizational briefing, and conducted a session titled “Cybersecurity in the Next Decade: Its Regional and Global Impact.”
