From November 4 to 8, the Perry Center Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) team of Dr. Holly Peirce, Dr. Arturo Sotomayor, and Ms. Sydney Knapp, proudly supported the Western Hemisphere Women, Peace, and Security Regional Event alongside USNORTHCOM, USSOUTHCOM, and partner nations in Mexico at CESNAV/SEMAR. This event served to support the North American Defense Framework (NADF) for Women, Peace, and Security in planning how to advance WPS in our shared neighborhood over the next 5 years. The event hosted presentations on integrating WPS into military operations, professional military education, and combating gender-based violence along with working groups in support of the NADF.
