On November 15, 2016, the Perry Center hosted an alumni reunion at the Sheraton Libertador Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event was the Center’s first in Argentina since 2010 and had an excellent turn out with more than 80 alumni and guests in attendance.
Perry Center Director Mark Wilkins started off the evening with a talk about courses and events on the horizon for 2017. Alumni Coordinator Molly Albin followed with a short presentation about educational resources available to graduates, during which different members of the alumni community spoke about their personal experiences using the various academic and professional development tools provided by the Center. Afterward, Francisco Araoz Bugallo, Director of the Argentine-American Network for Leadership’s (REAL) Security and Defense Commission — a group comprised of several Perry Center alumni — spoke about some of the recent activities organized by the Commission for local graduates.
After the presentations, alumni enjoyed a reception and were able to catch up and reminisce with fellow graduates. The event brought together alumni from a wide range of courses — including some of the first offered by the Perry Center — and allowed members of the community to reconnect with professors, staff, and classmates and continue to expand their professional networks.
