On May 10 the Perry Center welcomed 45 military and civilian strategic studies students from Guatemala’s Armed Forces Education Command (COSEDE) for a discussion on the challenges of hemispheric security, including cybersecurity, countering transnational threat networks, and counterterrorism. The group was led by Colonel Daniel Benjamín Pérez Tumin, COSEDE’s Deputy Commander; they were greeted by Perry Center Director Paul J. Angelo, Academic Dean Scott Tollefson, and Professors Boris Saavedra and Celina Realuyo. The visit follows the Center’s recent engagement in Guatemala in support the Guatemala’s cybersecurity strategy.
