Prof. Celina Realuyo

On May 10, 2023, Dr. Luis Bitencourt and Professor Celina Realuyo briefed 43 officers from the Mexican National Defense College on defense and security threats to the Western Hemisphere. Professor Realuyo spoke on the expansion of transnational organized crime and focused on the emerging threat from synthetic drugs like fentanyl and unprecedented irregular migration in the Americas. Dr. Bitencourt discussed the complex threats the region is facing and the defense policies necessary to address those threats to national and regional security.
