On December 11, Perry Center Director Paul Angelo participated in a “Beyond the SCIF” event focused on the Chinese Communist Party’s influence in the Western Hemisphere. The event was hosted by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies in partnership with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and moderated by Congressman Rick Crawford. During his remarks, Dr. Angelo noted, “We can’t look at the threat vectors that we see in Latin America…exclusively through a military lens because, as we all know, security is multi-dimensional, and our adversaries in China and Moscow understand it to be such.”
