On January 22, three senior officers from the Jamaican Defence Force (JDF), accompanied by officers from the District of Columbia National Guard, participated in an academic exchange with Perry Center faculty. The DC National Guard organized the exchange because Jamaica is their partner in the National Guard Bureau’s State Partnership Program. The visiting delegation was in Washington, DC, for three days to meet with representatives from the DC National Guard as well as a variety of other US agencies. During the exchange at the Perry Center, Professors Scott Tollefson, Celina Realuyo, and Pat Paterson gave presentations on important topics in regional and international security.
