On December 11, 2024, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo gave a presentation at a discussion organized by Chile’s National Academy for Political and Strategic Studies (ANEPE) on global threats from the perspective of the United States. During her presentation, guided by Deputy Academic Director and Perry Center alumna, Dr. Carolina Sancho, she addressed topics such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, China’s influence, the nuclear aspirations of Iran and North Korea, and the impact of terrorism and organized crime in the Americas.

She also analyzed US security strategy, focusing on strategic competition, combating transnational organized crime and promoting democracy in the region. She concluded by stressing the need for international cooperation to address these challenges and promote global security.
