On November 7, we welcomed a delegation of 36 participants from the Argentine-American Dialogue, led by Mr. Luis Ruvira. The Dean of Academic Affairs William Godnick, and Professors David Spencer and Celina Realuyo greeted the group. Dr. Godnick opened the visit with welcome remarks and an institutional overview, followed by Professor Realuyo’s presentation on emerging threats in the Americas from a US perspective and Dr. Spencer’s lecture on the convergence of the criminalization of political groups and the politicization of criminality. This visit builds on recent engagements with Argentina, including partnering with the Cordoba police in October to deliver an executive education program focused on the challenges posed by organized crime.
