Over 300 Spanish and English-speaking graduates from the Western Hemisphere and the Caribbean gathered for the annual Alumni Day celebration on Thursday, March 24, 2022. This event was coordinated and hosted by several organizing committees each focusing on one specific area: community, academics, publicity, audio visual and event coordination. As a result of this collaboration, three products were created: a “digital magazine” showcasing multi-media submissions from Perry Center graduates, Reflections on Security and Defense from Latin America, and Academic Memories, a list of articles published by the graduate community in 2021. It was an unforgettable evening for everyone present and a true representation of the trust, comradery, and collaborative spirit among our diverse alumni community.
The concept of Alumni Day was initially conceived by an alumni working group, then quickly embraced by Perry Center director, LTG (ret.) Frederick Rudesheim, and March 27 was designated as Alumni Day in commemoration of the graduation date of the first Perry Center resident course in 1998. Alumni Day is an annual event to celebrate the impact and strength of the alumni network with a focus on community, cooperation, and leadership.
