On May 26, Professor Boris Saavedra and invited panelists Joseph Humire and Dr. Hernan Castillo discussed the military policy and strategy designed and implemented by the Bolivarian Revolution administrations and its role in the relationship with hemispheric and non-hemispheric external actors. The speakers analyzed the military’s transformational focus to institutional support of the political regime and the connection between the military’s strategic regions, illicit economies, armed organized groups and external actors.
