On December 15, the Perry Center hosted its final webinar for the 2020 series: “The Threat of the Criminal Group Primeiro Comando do Capital (PCC) to the Security of Brazil: An Update.” Mr. Raul Jungmann, former Minister of Agrarian Reform, former Minister of Defense, former Minister of Public Security, Brazil, and Mr. Leonardo Coutinho, International Fellow for Brazil, Center for Secure and Free Society, and a Perry Center graduate, shared their remarks on the subject. Mr. Jungmann commented on the PCC in Sao Paulo as well as the evolution and presence of the PCC both in Brazil and internationally while also explaining their complex structure. Mr. Coutinho focused on the PCCs evolution including their activities on other continents and described the objectives and new threats of the PCC. Dr. David Spencer, Associate Professor at the Perry Center, moderated the event.
