On May 6, 2025, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo participated in the Third Annual Meeting of National Points of Contact on Transnational Organized Crime (RANDOT), held at the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, DC.
Professor Realuyo moderated the Transnational Organized Crime Trends panel, which featured Ricardo Saad, Director of Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation for the Brazilian Federal Police, who briefed on the First Capital Command (PCC); Eddie Agrait, Regional Director for the Americas at the Pharmaceutical Security Institute (PSI), who spoke on counterfeit pharmaceuticals; Alejo (Alejandro) Campos, Regional Director for the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Latin America at Crime Stoppers International, who addressed the illicit trade in alcoholic beverages; and Andrea Crosta, Founder of Earth League International, who presented on the illicit trade in species.
The event was organized by Gastón Schulmeister, Director of the OAS Department against Transnational Organized Crime. He, along with Ricardo Ferrer Picado and Alejo Campos, are all alumni of the Perry Center.
