On Monday, October 30, a delegation from the Superior Strategic Studies Course (CAEE) of the Guatemalan Army Education Command (COSEDE) visited the Perry Center for an academic exchange on security and defense policymaking. Dr. Scott Tollefson, Dean of Academic Affairs, welcomed the 38-person delegation, which included both military and civilian officials and was led by the Second Commander of COSEDE, Colonel Milton U. Trujillo Sagastume, and Course Director Colonel Fernando Valenzuela González.
After Dean Tollefson’s orientation about the mission of the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, Dr. William Godnick, Professor of Practice, presented on the Strategic Vision Initiative (SVI), a two-year collaborative applied research project by the Perry Center and international partners to develop, assess, and forward plan for future global and regional threat scenarios.
