UNAM SeminarApril 4-5, 2016, the Perry Center collaborated with Professors Yadira Galvez and Dr. Alejandro Chanona of the National Autonomous University of Mexico’s Department of Political and Social Sciences (UNAM) to conduct a “Countering Transnational Threats in the Americas Seminar” for over 150 students, academics and professionals in Mexico City. In addition to lectures from Professors Celina Realuyo and Boris Saavedra on counterterrorism, cybersecurity and strategies to combat transnational organized crime, several members of the WJPC Mexico alumni community and UNAM participated in panels on border security, citizen security and transnational threats in Mexico.

On the evening of April 4, more than 40 Perry Center graduates attended an alumni networking event hosted by the WJPC Mexico Alumni Association. The event served as an excellent opportunity for alumni to expand their professional networks and reconnect with fellow classmates and Perry Center professors and staff.
