Last week the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies bid farewell, adieu, adios, and um forte abraço to Perry Center Deputy Director/Chief of Staff Jeffrey Murphy, who retired after 35 years of public service including 14 years at the Perry Center. During that time Jeff engaged thousands of alumni, effectively transformed the office, implemented innovative programming, and wisely guided the Perry Center team. Jeff is not only a highly skilled administrator, but people-centered in his management approach – a rare combination. His contributions will have a lasting impact on US Department of Defense engagement of the security and defense community in the Americas. We thank Jeff for his leadership and mentorship and wish him all the best. He will be an enduring member of la familia Perry.
