On July 23, the Chief of Strategic Affairs on the Brazilian Ministry of Defense’s Joint Staff, General Gerson Menandro Garcia de Freitas, visited the Perry Center for an organizational briefing and strategic dialogue. Perry Center Director Mark Wilkins welcomed the General and his delegation to the center, while Academic Dean Luis Bitencourt provided an organizational briefing to the group. A number of Perry Center leadership and faculty participated in a discussion on joint military education programs and strategic planning methodology led by Mr. Jay Cope, of NDU’s Institute for National Security Studies.
