On March 22, 2017, a 32-person delegation from the Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA) visited the Perry Center for an organizational briefing and academic exchange. Accompanied by IAAFA’s Superintendent, Chief Master Sergeant Heriberto Diaz, Jr., USAF, the delegation included students from nine Western Hemisphere countries, including 14 United States Air Force students, who are enrolled in the Inter-American Squadron Officer School and the Inter-American Non-commissioned Officer Academy.

The visitors were welcomed by Dr. Scott Tollefson, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dr. William Godnick, who briefly described the history, mission, and organization of the Perry Center. Later, Dr. Godnick presented on alternative geopolitical futures, including evolving security threats and their implications for the Western Hemisphere. In addition to their visit to the Perry Center, the delegation will visit the Pentagon, the Inter-American Defense College, and visit various landmarks in Washington, DC.
