On October 9, a group organized by the Argentine Institute for International Security and Strategic Affairs (Instituto de Seguridad Internacional y Asuntos Estratégicos – ISIAE) visited the Center for an organizational briefing and discussion with the faculty. General (ret.) Julio Alberto Hang, ISIAE Director and longtime partner of the Center, headed the delegation of Argentine and Peruvian visitors. National War College Professor Cynthia Watson and COL (ret.) Jay Cope of NDU’s Institute for National Strategic Studies participated in the discussion on public-private cooperation in defense and security in the Americas, joining Director Mark Wilkins, Dr. Luis Bitencourt, Dr. Scott Tollefson, and Prof. Pedro de la Fuente from the Perry Center. During their time in Washington, DC, the group also met with senior officials from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Department of State, and the US Congress.
