The Perry Center welcomed a delegation of 36 civilians and military officers from the Institute for Advanced Strategic Studies (Instituto de Altos Estudios Estratégicos – IAEE) master’s program in national security and planning (PMPCEN). One of Paraguay’s premier institutions of higher learning, IAEE is a longtime partner of the Perry Center. During this annual academic exchange, Perry Center Director Mark Wilkins welcomed visitors and delivered a short lecture on preparing for alternative geopolitical futures, both in the Western Hemisphere and globally. Later, Dr. Luis Bitencourt explained the mission and programs of the Perry Center and moderated a discussion on regional security challenges.
