Perry Center Co-hosts Transnational Challenges Virtual Seminar with GCMC and NESA

On January 28, 2021, the Perry Center co-hosted a Transnational Challenges Virtual Seminar with the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies. Professor Anne Moisan from NESA, Dr. Ben Nickels from GCMC and Professor Celina Realuyo from the Perry Center were the regional center academics who designed and convened regional center alumni from Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Libya, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal and Tunisia. Participants examined the impact of the COVID-19 on global drug trafficking, migration, transnational organized crime, terrorism and social unrest and discussed the challenges governments face to promote security and prosperity in the age of the pandemic.
