On August 31, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo participated in a hybrid workshop titled “Contemporary Conflicts: How to Deal with Asymmetric Threats to Security?” in Colombia. The Institute of Political Science and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation have organized “Rethinking Security in Colombia” workshops during 2021 that seek to contribute, through training activities, to the construction of an inter-institutional perspective on national security and defense studies in Colombia. Professor Realuyo presented “The Financing of Criminal Networks: The fight against Money Laundering within a Security Strategy.” Participants included officials from the Colombian Ministry of Defense, armed forces and academia.
