Perry Center Says Farewell to Ambassador Adam Blackwell

The Perry Center said farewell to Diplomat-in-Residence Ambassador Adam Blackwell. After a distinguished career representing Canada in missions and international organizations around the world, Ambassador Blackwell joined the Perry Center in September 2015 as its first Diplomat-in-Residence. During his tenure, he drew upon his extensive diplomatic experience to support the Center’s mission by representing the Center at international forums, such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and utilizing his considerable expertise in Western Hemisphere affairs to contribute to the efficacy and success of the Center’s programs.

“I think I can speak for everyone here,” remarked Perry Center Director Mark Wilkins during Ambassador Blackwell’s farewell ceremony, “when I say that never have I seen anyone make such a large impact in such a short time.” Declaring Ambassador Blackwell a Distinguished Member Emeritus of the Perry Center, Director Wilkins presented him with a certificate commemorating his exceptionally meritorious service.

Ambassador Blackwell will begin a new position as the Vice President International with the Development Services Group. The Perry Center thanks Ambassador Blackwell for his service and looks forward to collaborating with him in the future.
