On March 13, 2018, Perry Center Director LTG (ret.) Frederick Rudesheim and Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (UMNG) Rector Hugo Rodríguez Durán signed an academic cooperation agreement. The ceremony took place at the UMNG Nueva Granada Campus in Cajicá, Colombia, and was attended by Perry Center professors Boris Saavedra and Celina Realuyo; Kara O’Ryan and Molly Albin of the Perry Center Alumni and Educational Outreach Office; UMNG International Relations, Strategy and Security Department faculty members; as well as representatives of UMNG’s Institute for Geostrategic Studies and Political Issues and its International Relations Office.

This agreement establishes a new framework for academic and educational exchange between the two institutions, which includes potential joint activities, academic exchange, research, and publications.

Based on this framework, UMNG and Perry Center staff members will work together to develop cooperation initiatives that foster engagement and promote the exchange of knowledge between the University and the Center.
