On April 14, 2021 Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo spoke on “Latin America and the Foreign Policy of the Biden Administration” at a virtual roundtable at Universidad del Rosario Department of International, Political and Urban Studies organized by WJPC alumnus Dr. Oscar Palma with Dr. Esteban Actis from the Universidad de Rosario, Argentina. They discussed the continuity and divergence on US foreign policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean under the Trump and Biden Administrations. They also addressed how great power competition between the US and China is impacting the Americas in political, military, economic, technological and health arenas and how the Biden Administration will respond to China’s increasing influence in the Western Hemisphere.
