On March 25, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo participated in the International Forum on “Hezbollah and Its Operations in the Americas: Converging Threats and How to Confront Them” that included world-renowned experts from the US, Israel, United Arab Emirates and Latin America. She presented “Hezbollah and the Convergence of Terrorism and Transnational Organized Crime: Challenges for Colombia and the Region,” examining how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected its operations in the Americas and how dramatic changes in the drug trade and money laundering online might impact its future Hezbollah operations and the convergence of terrorism and crime.
