WJPC Professor Speaks on Transnational Organized Crime at Parlatino

From October 21 to 22, 2021, Professor Celina Realuyo of the Perry Center participated in a Regional Dialogue with Parliamentarians to harmonize and update the regulatory frameworks to combat transnational organized crime, convened at the Parlatino Headquarters in Panama City, Panama. She spoke on “Transnational Organized Crime as a Threat to National Security in the New World Order” before an in-person audience of 30 parliamentarians from across Latin America. The two-day in-person conference addressed topics including the “Model Law to Combat Illicit Trade and Transnational Organized Crime”, the “Model Law on Asset Forfeiture” and the “Model Law on Cyber Crimes.”
