On December 14-15, CHDS held a day and a half long seminar in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the launch of the book: Seguridad y Defensa en Tiempos del Bicentenario: Visiones desde Argentina y Chile. (Security and Defense during the Bicentennial: Visions from Argentina and Chile). The book was compiled by Mariano Bartolome, a CHDS graduate, and many of the book’s contributors are also CHDS alumni. The well-attended seminar consisted of panel discussions with the authors, which provided an interesting sample of the book and highlighted critical regional security and defense issues. Both panelists and participants had an opportunity to dialogue and raise important ideas related to the security situation between Argentina and Chile, as well as the entire region.

The book was a joint effort between CHDS and Institute of Naval Publications of the Naval Center in Argentina (Instituto de Publicaciones Navales, Centro Naval).
