On November 17, the Perry Center hosted a discussion on the Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (CDMA), a biannual event that is the highest-level meeting on defense and security in the Americas. Two WJPC alumni provided remarks: Dr. Andres Villar, Coordinator of the XIV CDMA, and Colonel Frank Mauricio Cabrera Rizek, Dominican Republic’s delegate to CDMA. Ms. Ashley Pixton and Mr. Kid Manville from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (USA) also participated as speakers. Dr. Fabiana Perera, Assistant Professor at Perry Center, moderated the event. Participants asked questions about the meetings of the Ad Hoc Working Groups and the significance of this event, as it marks its 25th anniversary.

Note: At her request, we have removed Ms. Pixton’s image from the masthead as well as her commentary from the event recording.
