On Friday, April 6, 2018 the Guatemalan Minister of National Defense, General Luis Miguel Ralda, and a delegation of senior Guatemalan officials visited the Perry Center for an office call with WJPC Director, LTG (ret.) Frederick S. Rudesheim. The delegation included: Brigadier General Byron Gutiérrez, Defense Attaché; Brigadier General Juan Carlos Alemán, Chief of Delegation of Guatemala to the Inter-American Defense Board; and Colonel Ronald Eduardo Morales Pérez, Chief of Staff of the Minister. This occasion marks General Luis Miguel Ralda’s first visit to the Perry Center since becoming Minister of Defense. In addition to General Frederick S. Rudesheim, Academic Dean, Dr. Scott Tollefson, and Chief of Strategic Plans and Communications, Colonel Steven Angerthal, were also present. Minister Ralda highlighted the importance of Guatemalan Perry Center course graduates and their contribution to raising the professionalism of the Guatemalan Ministry of Defense, noting those individuals as the most capable and transparent of all cabinet ministries.
