As part of the efforts to strengthen academic and strategic ties in the field of security and defense, a group of Guatemalan alumni from the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies conducted an official visit to the Regional Training Center for Peacekeeping Operations (CREOMPAZ).

During the visit, participants learned about the operational and logistical capabilities of the Command, as well as the national pre-deployment process for military personnel participating in peacekeeping missions around the world. The day was enriched by an outstanding presentation by the host commander, Colonel Hilda Obeyda González Klusmann, of the Military Health Corps, who addressed the international legal framework, Guatemala’s geostrategic contributions, and the role of women in peace operations, highlighting the country’s commitment to parity and military diplomacy.
