On December 3, the Perry Center hosted a Hemispheric Forum on the topic of “Continuity an Renewal in the Latin American Electoral Cycle: Implications for Regional Security.” The Forum was moderated by Perry Center Dean of Academics Dr. Luis Bitencourt, and featured a distinguished panel of presenters, including: Mr. Roberto Izurieta, Director of Latin American Projects for the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management; Dr. Johanna Mendelson-Forman, Senior Associate in the Program on Crisis, Conflict, and Cooperation and in the Americas Program at CSIS; and Dr. Harold Trinkunas, Charles W. Robinson Chair and Senior Fellow and Director of the Latin America Initiative under the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution.
