On July 12, a delegation from the Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA) visited the Perry Center to receive a briefing on the topic of cyber terrorism. The group included 40 personnel from air forces throughout the Americas, including countries such as Brazil, El Salvador, and Colombia, as well as eight US Air Force service members. Brazilian Air Force Major and IAAFA instructor Allan Buch led the delegation.

After the Perry Center’s Dr. Boris Saavedra welcomed the group and briefed them on the Center’s mission and structure, he spoke at length about cyberterrorism in a presentation titled “Terrorism in Cyberspace: How Real Is the Threat?” The visit concluded with a gift presentation, after which the delegation continued on to the Inter-American Defense College.
