Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo spoke to the George C. Marshall Center course on Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) in Garmisch, Germany on August 17, 2017. She lectured on “Following the Money to Combat Terrorism, Crime, and Corruption” and the use of financial intelligence to complement terrorism and law enforcement investigations. She spoke specifically on the convergence of terrorism and crime and the case of the Islamic State and the security threats posed by returning Foreign Terrorist Fighters to Europe and other regions.
