On October 13, Perry Center Professor William Godnick guest lectured on “Social Media as Tool in Counter Narcotics Strategies” at the Colombian Navy’s International Center for Maritime Investigation and Analysis against Drug Trafficking (Centro Internacional Marítimo de Investigación y Análisis Contra el Narcotráfico – CIMCON) for 102 Colombian, Mexican, Peruvian and Spanish naval officers and civilians. The session discussed how government and military use of social media can be leveraged for public engagement and international cooperation.
