Perry Center Welcomes Ecuador Defense Attaché

On December 10, 2025, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies hosted a delegation from the Embassy of Ecuador, led by Colonel Efrén Castillo, Military and Defense Attaché. The delegation also included Colonel Juan Sánchez, OAS Attaché; Colonel Galo Álvarez, Air Attaché; and Captain Fabricio Rueda, Navy Attaché.

Perry Center Director Dr. Paul J. Angelo, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. William Godnick, and Professor Eric Driggs welcomed the group. The visit included discussions on the upcoming Maritime Security Policy Mobile Course, which will be co-sponsored with the Government of Ecuador, as well as a focused exchange on transnational organized crime and its implications for regional security.
