On October 19, 2021, Perry Center Director, LTG (ret.) Frederick Rudesheim welcomed General Laura J. Richardson, the incoming commander of US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), to the Center before she assumes command on October 29, 2021. GEN Richardson will be the second female combatant commander in history and the second female four-star general in the Army’s history. We look forward to working closely with her at USSOUTHCOM.
