On February 24, 2023, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo spoke on “Countering Emerging Threats in Transnational Organized Crime in the Americas” at the 24th Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum (PISF) at Parlatino (Latin American Parliament) in Panama City, Panama. PISF convened over 200 parliamentarians from Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States for this two-day forum in Panama. This forum covered topics such as great power competition, illicit financing, energy and supply chain security, cyber and space domains, adversarial foreign investments, emerging technologies (5G and AI) and international security cooperation. Keynote speakers for the two-day forum included Panama’s Minister of Public Security Juan Pino and former United States National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien.
