Admiral Valdes and Dr. Bitencourt engaged in discussion

On September 3, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Luis Bitencourt welcomed Admiral José Santiago Valdés Alvarez for a roundtable discussion on current issues relevant to the security and defense of Mexico and the United States. Preceding the discussion at the Perry Center, Admiral Valdes was inducted into the National Defense University Hall of Fame (Industrial College of the Armed Forces, 1995) in a ceremony at National Defense University’s Marshall Hall.

Admiral Valdes’ delegation included Mexican Naval Attaché Vice Admiral Francisco Perez Rico and his Aide, Captain Ramon Lara. Others in attendance included Dean of Administration MG (ret.) John Thompson, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Scott Tollefson, and Visiting Professor Mr. Walter Earle.
