On behalf of the Perry Center, we express our condolences to the families and loved ones of Major General Rudy Ortiz, Guatemalan National Defense Chief of Staff, and of the four other passengers of the helicopter crash that occurred on August 20th; General Braulio Mayen, Colonel Rony Adolfo Anleu del Águila, Colonel Juan de Dios Lopez Gomez, and Major Selvin Ricardo Raymundo Donis. We were very saddened to hear that Major General Ortiz and four members of his staff lost their lives. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
