On October 7, the Perry Center welcomed a delegation from the Doctoral Program in Defense, Development, and National Strategic Security of the Institute of Higher Strategic Studies (IAEE) of the National Defense Council of Paraguay. Brigadier General Nery T. Laconich, General Director of the IAEE and Defense Attaché at the Embassy of Paraguay, led the delegation. The group was welcomed by Dr. Paul Angelo, Director of the Perry Center, engaged faculty and staff, and received a special briefing on Strategy and Defense Policy by Dr. David Spencer.
