Viviana Edwards AwardPerry Center Director Mark Wilkins awarded Viviana Edwards a 20-hour time off award earlier today in recognition of her outstanding contributions to last week’s successful launch of the book, Beyond Convergence: World Without Order. In addition to her other high priority tasks, Ms. Edwards compressed several months’ worth of graphical layout work into just a few weeks to ensure the timely publication of this new text on the evolution and innovation of illicit networks. Because of her efforts, 300 copies were available for those diplomats, scholars, and security and defense officials who attended the October 18 book launch. A second printing is already underway.

In the book’s acknowledgments, editors Michael Miklaucic of National Defense University’s Center for Complex Operations and Hilary Matfess of the Institute for Defense Analyses thanked Ms. Edwards for her “heroic support in the production of the first printing.”
