On March 4, Colombia’s Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (UMNG) hosted a Perry Center alumni event and award ceremony for Perry Center Director Frederick Rudesheim. During this event, Perry Center Professor Celina Realuyo and ESDEG Professor Vicente Torrijos participated in a roundtable to discuss the global security implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. On this occasion, the Perry Center and Universidad Militar Nueva Granada renewed their academic partnership agreement for the next 10 years. In honor of his contributions to UMNG, Perry Center Director Rudesheim was decorated with the Medal of the Nueva Granada Military University by General (ret.) Carlos Ospina, former Colombian Chief of Defense and former Perry Center Professor.
